Fun With Photoshop

Is it film or digital?

Of course, the question is something of a trick question. The sunrise image was shot on Fujichrome 100, scanned and then made to look like film again (35mm and 4x5 sheet film). The baseball image was originally digital.

The images were made using Photoshop and Film Frames downloaded from ePaperPress. That website has a section entitled Photoshop for Photographers, and the frames can be found in the download section. The frames themselves are actually Photoshop files (.PSD files) that contain the film frames and basic text (which can be modified). To use the frames, you simply resize your photograph, and then copy and paste it into the frame.

While I'll admit there is a limited application for making digital images appear to be film, but being somewhat nostalgiac, I couldn't resist.
